Beauty

The beauty of nature
Cannot compare in my eyes
To the one you hold within
My trembling hands want to reach out
Caress your face to make sure you are real
But
Alas
That honor is denied me
So instead
I will sit wondering
Cherishing these words we have
Till the end of them
Which I hope never comes
Unless
I find at the other side
A Voice
A Face
To replace them
But
Not any one will do
That Voice has a sound that fills the heavens
That Face burned in my mind
Till then I will wait
And
Be satisfied to watch the sunset
Wondering if you see it too?

I would build a fire by that lake
Laying down a bed for us
To sleep upon
But,
First we would lie there
In each other's arms
Speaking of things we never dreamed exist
Except in fantasy
I would stay by that lake
With you eternally
If you would only consent to be there with me

After the night has passed
Waking up in each others arms
I would greet the new day with wonder
If you are still there
Sun would shine a thousand times brighter
Never before have I seen such wonder
To begin our day
I would take you to a special place
Where we can refresh ourselves
Laughing as you screech from cold water
I marvel at your laugh
Which echoes deep inside
From here who knows
Where it can go
For the world is now ours
